Sourdough Bread Workshop @ SMW in Middleburg!

Join us here at our Winery in Middleburg for this practical;), unique, fun & interactive workshop! Shanty Secrets (Recreational Cooking School and Bistro) is coming to educate and assist in the ancient art of sourdough bread making!
In this hands-on class you’ll learn:
✨ How to feed and maintain a sourdough starter
✨ Mixing, folding & fermentation techniques
✨ Shaping your loaf like a pro
✨ Scoring and baking for that perfect crust
You’ll leave with:
✔️ Your own active starter
✔️ Eat some fresh baked bread
✔️ The confidence to bake at home

This class includes all the supplies you'll need and freshly baked bread and dips to enjoy! Now what goes better with bread than SM Wine;)?! So be sure to stop at our bar upon entry and purchase a tasting flight, wine by the glass and/or bottle to enjoy during this workshop. You may also purchase a charcuterie box (made by Heimbach's Country Store) for this event as well ($16).  Tickets for the workshop are $35/person.  The tickets and charcuterie boxes can be purchased here on our FB page or website.  Be the bread baker for your Easter dinners!
